CONTROLLED ATMOSPHERE (U.L.O.) COLDROOMS

  

The C.A. system maintains the organoleptic qualities of the product unaltered and reduces the losses due to pathogens and physiopatologies. All of this creates remarkable advantages, easily imaginable from the commercial point of view.



C.A. the technological solutions

 

C.A. systems can satisfy every need of the fruit and vegetables world. Their management is completely computerized and integrated with the refrigeration system.

C.A. coldrooms have special characteristics, which make them substantially different from standard coldrooms. Their construction required special care and a vast experience and knowledge of the field.

Sealing of panel joints

Our panels need to be completely sealed after the assembly, for a safe pressurization of the controlled atmosphere coldrooms.

Sliding doors are supplied complete with a pre-arrangement for C.A., in such a way as to guarantee a perfect seal. They are complete with 4 closing brackets and hinged hatch door with vision panel for inspection.

  

  

  

Carbon dioxide absorbers

 

CO2 absorbers have a new design and new characteristics. They are used either as single units (connected with one or two coldrooms) or as central packs (connected to more coldrooms).


The absorbers use special activated carbon filters and maintain the concentration of carbon dioxide inside thr coldroom very linear and constant, even with very low percentages of oxigen (ULO). The absorbers are operated by a new PLC, through which the connection with the pc-controlled control panel (GAC) is possible.


They are complete with pneumatic valves that require no maintenance. The TFA models are complete with CO2 O2 analyser built in the control panel, which allows a continuous check of the coldoroms, automatically analysing the air and maintaining the values preset by the operator, just like in computerized systems. NRS (Nitrogen Regeneration System) is an optional sophisticated system to improve preservation in Hyper Low Oxygen (HLO) conditions.

 

Ethylene absorbers

They are used to mantain ethylene in coldrooms at low levels, thus protecting foodstuffs from the negative effects of ethylene during preservation. By the absorbers it is as well possible to get rid of other noxious gases like hydrocarbons and SO2.
The absorbers are used in the preservation of fruits (kiwis in particular), flowers, vegetables and any foodstuffs usually producting small quantities of ethylene, yet very sensitive to such gas.

 

Nitrogen generators

They produce nitrogen with purity 95% to 99%, using the separation of atmospheric air by a screw compressor. All models are used for a quick pull - down in controlled atmosphere coldrooms, at the same time preventing the formation of CO2, and to restore the preservation conditions (even ULO) in coldrooms opened for the partial sale of products.

Nitrogen generators are used in fields where an "environmental-friendly" nitrogen is required, with no combustion residues (CO2, CO, Nox, SO2, C2H2, etc.), available in fixed version or mobile (on biard shipes, containers, etc.). Our models can even be used for the production of O2 enriched with air (to 40%) for ripening rooms.



Computerized analysis

 

The analysis system is made up of an infrared equipment for CO2 and a paramagnetic or electrochemical one for O2. The control system is made up of a PLC and a PC for supervision.

The device links the interfaces placed next to the coldrooms with the equipments and allows the measurement, storage and printing of all preservation parameters (percentages of CO2/O2/Ethylene,Temperature, Humidity, Pressure, etc.) as well as the control of all applications.

A special software designed by our enginers allows a SMARTER and MORE DYNAMIC control of preservation coldrooms.
